Dress Code

Proper attire helps dancers move safely and lets teachers see body lines and technique clearly. Requirements vary by age group and class type — find your dancer below. All required attire and shoes can be purchased through CK’s online store, Nimbly.

Preschool

Attire
  • Boogie Babies / Tot Rock / PS1 / PS2: any color leotard, tights, skirts, and tutus
  • Tot Hop: athletic wear
Shoes
  • Boogie Babies: PINK ballet shoes
  • Tot Rock: PINK ballet shoes
  • PS1: BLACK patent leather tap shoes and PINK ballet shoes
  • PS2: BLACK patent leather tap shoes and PINK ballet shoes
  • Tot Hop: any color sneakers for Hip Hop
Hair
  • Ponytail or bun

Elementary

K–5th Grade

Attire
  • Ballet: required BLACK leotard and PINK tights
  • Jazz / Tap / Lyrical / Hip Hop: shorts or leggings, sports bras, tight-fitting tank tops, TAN tights, any color leotard
Shoes
  • Jazz / Tap: TAN buckle tap shoes and TAN slip-on jazz shoes
  • Ballet: PINK ballet shoes
  • Lyrical: TAN slip-on lyrical shoes, or barefoot
  • Hip Hop: any color sneakers
Hair
  • Pulled away from face
  • Bun for ballet

Teen

6th–12th Grade

Attire
  • Ballet: required BLACK leotard and PINK tights
  • Jazz / Tap / Lyrical / Hip Hop: shorts or leggings, sports bras, tight-fitting tank tops, TAN tights, any color leotard
Shoes
  • Jazz / Tap: TAN slip-on tap shoes and TAN slip-on jazz shoes
  • Ballet: PINK ballet shoes
  • Lyrical: TAN slip-on lyrical shoes, or barefoot
  • Hip Hop: any color sneakers
Hair
  • Pulled away from face
  • Bun for ballet

Acro

Preschool–12th Grade

Attire
  • Tank tops, sports bras, leggings, yoga pants, dance shorts
  • Any athletic wear
Shoes
  • Students will be barefoot for class
  • Shoes must be worn to and from class
Hair
  • Ponytail or pulled away from face and off of neck

Boys

Attire & Shoes
  • Hip Hop: t-shirt and athletic shorts/pants — no street clothes. Any color tennis shoes
  • Tap: BLACK lace-up tap shoes
  • Jazz: BLACK slip-on jazz shoes
  • Ballet: BLACK ballet shoes, BLACK tights, WHITE shirt
