CLASS DESCRIPTION
Barre – YES! Yoga – YES! HIIT – YES! An intermediate level barre class that challenges your mind and body using a variety of full-body exercises and isolated movements. HIIT options can be modified. This is a great class for dancers too!
This class for is beginners and those wanting to focus on a solid foundation for their yoga practice. This class focuses on yoga fundamentals including yoga philosophy, meditation, breath work, basic asanas, and proper alignment in the poses. Students will learn Sun Salutations A & B, and progress to vinyasa flow sequences, learning to connect the breath with the body movements.
This class works with individual back care needs on a person by person basis to help you live your most pain free life. In this class we stretch and strengthen muscles that commonly lead to back issues and pain. All levels welcome.
Get ready to move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered so you can perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level for the 55 & over community and is taught by our certified Chair Yoga instructor.
We also offer an “Efficient Flow” which is designed for working professionals to take advantage of during their lunch break. This class is an abbreviated Vinyasa Flow.
Come dressed and ready to move in yoga-type comfortable clothing. Guidelines for class: We Dance Without Shoes- This allows us to connect more fully with the ground (socks are OK) We Dance Without Words- This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State. Limited Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators No Talking from the Dancers. We Dance as We Are. No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video. No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.
The class consists of slower movements held for longer times. They are a set of postures and deep stretches designed to align the muscles and bones. It’s a powerful tool for self-transformation and will also encourage you to bring focus to your breath.
This traditional Pilates mat class is a total body workout that focuses on the deep core muscles, strengthening both the abdominals and the spine. Pilates improves posture, balance, and flexibility. The instructor will work at your level giving modifications or progressions as needed. This is a great class to work on muscle tone and great for dancers too. Everyone is welcome.
Vinyasa Flow is a fast-paced yoga class that focuses on breath and mindfulness while stringing together a series of poses. This class consists of seated, standing, and balancing poses along with forward folds, twists, and more. This class is an intermediate to advanced level class, but modifications are available for a beginner yogi.
This deep stretch class is a great complement to other styles of yoga. Yin yoga emphasized softness and self-compassion. It is a non-strenuous class that will stimulate parts of your body, such as the joints, tendons, and muscle fascia, not typically affected by more energetic yoga styles. Yin poses are taught seated or prone and are held for three to five minutes, with a focus on the breath and the inner landscape. This class is open to all levels.
CK's fun and silly kid's yoga class is baCK. Give your child something to do to burn energy in a safe and fun environment with Ms. Emma on Saturdays 9 AM. For ages 7-12.
Pre and postnatal yoga is available to all pregnant and postpartum mothers. Prenatal helps you prepare your body for childbirth and the healing period afterward. Prenatal yoga has been shown to lead to more comfortable pregnancies and healthier outcomes for baby and mom. Postpartum is any time after giving birth- even years afterward! Postpartum yoga helps heal your body after having your baby. It helps relieve the effects of Diastasis Recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, and many other common postpartum complaints. Whether you had a c-section or a traditional birth, it is a safe and effective way to reconnect and heal your body with a group of women who understand your specific needs. All American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology guidelines are followed. Babies and children are welcome!
Yoga Nidra is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. Guided mediation class, including restorative asanas and breathwork focus. Bring a blanket or bolster for props.
