Gems
DancElite Gems represents CK DanceWorks' premier, most advanced level of our performing companies. Gems consists of leveled dancers who train an average of 8 hours per week — demonstrating skilled technique, advanced movement styles, and an unparalleled performance quality. These dancers choose DancElite as a priority over all other extra activities and understand that, more than likely, they will not be able to commit to other activities throughout the year. Gems dancers attend competitions and conventions on the regional level and national level (every other year), and are expected to be well-rounded, poised, and extremely focused while adhering to the intense demands — monetary and time — expected of the team. This is a big commitment, important to understand before pursuing a spot on any Gems team. CK DanceWorks offers other performance/competition groups for dancers who'd like to join the competition circuit while pursuing other activities, or who aren't able to fulfill the commitment of DancElite Gems.
Prodigy
DancElite Prodigy serves as CK DanceWorks' focused, talented group of dancers who'd like to take their dance training to the next level. Prodigy consists of leveled dancers who train an average of 3–5 hours per week — demonstrating skilled technique, advanced movement styles, and an unparalleled performance quality. These dancers attend competitions on the regional level and an "in house" convention, and are expected to be well-rounded, poised, and extremely focused while adhering to the demands — monetary and time — expected of Prodigy. Prodigy was created for dancers interested in the competition circuit while still pursuing other activities and opportunities outside of dance, and requires less financial and time commitment than other DancElite groups.
CKrew
CKrew is a collection of CK DanceWorks' premier, most advanced hip hoppers, formed into varying levels of dance crews. CKrew dancers are some of the strongest hip hop dancers in the area and train weekly in all styles of hip hop. These dancers attend regional competitions and train with some of the industry's and Atlanta's best hip hop choreographers each year. Our hip hop crews are always some of our most entertaining and best dances here at CKDW — we're happy to have your interest!
